Hindley and District Men's Bowling League

Unfortunately, St.Patricks ‘B’ have resigned from Division 1 of our league.

All delegates of Division 1 will be contacted in due course.

Competition sponsored by Kevin – Hindley Pets Corner. Prize money £1300.

Pairs competition open to all Hindley and District Men’s Bowling League members (Details to follow).

32 pairs – entries taken from 1st June to 15th June. If oversubscribed a draw will be held to determine the 32 pairs.

Entrance fee £10 per pair.

1st rounds Saturday and Sunday 20th and 21st July.

Finals day Sunday 28th July.

Will all delegates please note there will be a committee meeting on Monday, 25th March, 2024, at Mr. Earls Club, 7:30PM.

Will all members please note, there will be an annual general meeting on Monday, 19th February 2024, at Mr. Earls Club, 7:30 PM.

It is with sadness that I report the passing of our oldest and long serving delegate Joe Young.

He passed away on Tuesday at the age of 90.

The funeral of Francis Calter will take place on Tuesday the 28th November at Holy Family Church, Lily Lane, Platt Bridge at 11am. Then at Wigan Crematorium at 12pm.

Followed by reception at Bickershaw Labour Club.

It is with great sorrow that I have to inform you that our Chairman Francis Calter passed away this morning.

Francis has been involved with our league for many years and served as our Chairman for the last 22 years.

On behalf of you all I will pass on our sincere sympathy to his wife and family.

Presentation Night 2023 will be held at Hindley Community Sports & Social Club
on Friday, 10th November, at 8pm.
